Symbolic Meaning of the Spider

Friday, June 19th, 2009

I am not fond of spiders by a long shot. I have had my share of bad experiences with spiders so I would really prefer not to have a message coming to me by way of the spider symbolism but it has been unavoidable this past week. Spiders every where!!!

One day this past week one crawled on my leg. Day two of the spider encounters a small one crawling on the tile floor in my hallway. Day three spider encounter sitting at my computer another little one came down on it’s web right in front of the monitor. Obviously by that point I was not noticing a pattern so that night a dream full of little spiders so I said “Okay, I am paying attention and I get that you are trying to tell me something.” This morning a spider is building a home on my patio and I must admit I feel guilty at the thought of ruining his day by taking a broom to him and his home he worked so hard on overnight. lol. I must say that with all these spider encounters I did not have any of the normal anxiety emotions I normally feel in the pit of my stomach at the sight of them. That in itself say a little something…that this message is not one to feel anxious about and it is not a bad omen or warning.

The spider is an ancient symbol of power, mystery and growth. Much of what the spider has to tell us is in the construction of it’s web. The spider weaves an intricate web that serves as his home, the way he gets food to feed himself and also acts as a place of growth for its eggs. For it’s life the web for the spider is about survival. Also consider that the spider can CREATE it’s web just about any where and it is not even concerned it seems about what might come along at any moment and ruin it’s hard work. The spider to me is fearless for it will build its web outside with no thought of the fact that it might rain and the winds blow and wipe out its home. It just moves on without another thought and starts the process all over again some where else and many times bravely again in the same place.

What about us humans? The spider shows us that it is all about CHOICES. We have choices (free will) we can make and we literally can make any choice and any decision we want, true? True! Ahhhh but the spider tells us something even more important. Whatever choice we make constructs our lives and so even though we may be fearless we still need to be mindful of the choices and decisions we make for we create our own destiny.

So if you have been recently pondering some decision and unsure of what direction to head in or unsure if the decision will keep you on or throw you off your path…the spider says the decision can be any direction but just remember whatever you end up with is what you yourself have weaved.

Buzzard and Vulture Symbolism

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

Within the past few months on several occasions I have driven by a large grouping of Vultures and once again this morning I came across a large group of vultures. It even seems they are getting closer and closer to me. What I mean is, the first time I saw a group of them on the front lawn of an apartment complex but quite a distance from the road. Most recently at the entrance to the community pool in my subdivision and close enough to the road for me driving by to scare them off temporarily. They were having their way with a poor cat which I think had been hit by a car. That sight didn’t sit well with me and I actually tried to just put it out of my mind (except for saying a little prayer for kitty). This morning as I was driving  on a road that is behind my parents house (a short cut) I could see them up ahead. They seemed to be coming out of the woods on the left and crossing over the road to the right shoulder of the road where there was some sort of dead animal. I don’t know what animal because I didn’t want to look. They didn’t fly off this time and seemed pretty bold. One was crossing the street as I neared where they were and then after I passed I looked in my rear view mirror and the one that had passed in front of my car walked back to the middle of the road and I swear turned and just stood there starring in my direction. Creepy? Yes! lol.

I admit that I have put off investigating the meaning of this. I know that many people think buzzards/vultures are a sign of death or at least bad luck…and I sure don’t need any of either! So today I have put on my big girl pants and researched the meaning. What I have found totally matches up with what I have been going through lately and seeing the buzzards totally makes sense to me.

The  Buzzard/Vulture teaches the power of purification of the mind, body and spirit. Also this intimidating bird aids accomplishing tasks through great patience and vision, using your sense of smell and discernment, and how to glide and soar with your own energy.

He teaches efficiency in actions and promises that changes are imminent. (I have recently been dealing with fear of moving foward with a project and this morning I decided to resign myself to a “Nothing ventured, nothing gained attitude.”)

He shows how to restore harmony of thoughts and feelings so one can reach new heights with little effort. (Just this morning I was thinking about how when I was younger and I would get an idea, I would be acting on it before the thoughts were even complete in my head but how I noticed that I hesitate as though I have something to lose or a fear of failure)

Buzzards will aid in uncovering truths, clarifying previous conceptions, and allow to see and hear subtle hidden qualities using intuition and awareness.

Buzzard can teach confidence and the ability to stand with dignity and soar with clarity and purpose.

He shows how to seek a new and heightened vision while increasing sensitivity.

The message here is that IT IS time to put on my big girl pants and to leave them on, to leave behind any perceived limitations for they are not real and only in my mind if I let them exist. It is time to put action behind those ideas because the buzzard will aid in transforming knowledge to bring forth the unconscious to conscious. He will teach me how to soar above it all and find the transformation I am needing at this time in my life.

I am ready!

Ant Symbolism and Meaning

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

It’s okay if you laugh a little. Yes, I am writing about the ant. I recently read on a website that “everything occurring in our external lives is a result, symptom, or reflection of our internal life.  And so, we can effectively look at our life situations as a metaphor or parable.  This is where symbolism (and the knowledge of it) becomes quite effective in determining solutions to our concerns. http://symbolic-meanings.com/2008/10/14/symbolism-of-creepy-crawlies-in-the-home/.” Very well put, don’t you think?

What lead me to find the meaning of the ant is that these industrious little creatures for some time now have been finding their way in my home. Lots of them. No matter how hard I try to do things to deter them from coming…they just keep coming. And they seem to be coming from no-where. I mean there is no line of them leading back to a door or a window with a crack. A friend suggested that they are coming in through the walls or underground. Possible yes, but more and more I began feeling there was something more to it because I could keep other creatures/bugs away, so why not the ants.

A day after I was release (okay…I released myself) from the hospital where surrounding that visit I had gotten repeated number symbolism of 411 and 432 (6 or information and 9) I was again battling ants. I decided to look up the symbolism and meaning surrounding them and what I found matches up with what has been going on in my life and things I am working on. I thought I would share with you in case you have experienced this too and like me you thought an ant was just an ant…maybe it was, but just possibly maybe it was not. hmmmm.

Insects are progressive, and proactive - always adapting to the environment, and never letting little things like natural disasters get in their way of progress. When we get discouraged, we could all learn a thing or two from insect animal totem meanings. It’s their unsinkable nature that reminds us to keep moving forward for progress.

Native American Meaning -

Ant medicine calls to our attention patience, persistence and endurance. While I sat there and listened, I thought about my level of patience and the nature of the topic at hand. “Ant people” know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. It also says, “what is yours will come to you.”  It tells you that with trust and patience, God will provide.

Chinese Meaning -

The Chinese identify the ant as “the righteious insect” and attribute orderliness, virtue, and patriotism to it; an alternate symbolism is subordination, especially that of the tireless and dutiful servant.

Islamic Meaning -

Islamic tradition honors the ant as the earthly teacher of Solomon, and an embodiment of wisdom.

Early Christian Meaning -

Go to the ant, O sluggard, and consider her ways. Proverbs 6:6

Possible Dream Meaning -

Carrying your own weight; strength; industrious. Also can symbolize annoyance, little things that bug you. Hard work, strict discipline, team work and conformity.  Also conformity to society, a need to cooperate, a cult representing overwhelming obedience to a group. Possibly also something that bugs you or pesters you. It is very important to ask the question of what does the ant make you think of since the meaning can differ so widely from person to person. Compare the meanings to what is currently going on in your life, problem, what has been bothering you or what you have recently ask for help with.

Meaning of 555 and 5’s in general

Saturday, February 21st, 2009

Keep in mind that if I say that I saw 5’s today or in my dream that you can’t just absolutely say with out a doubt that it means a certain angel is around, or that it specifically means change is coming for me or that it does not have a more literal meaning. I just wanted to give a little reminder that often to translate a meaning you not only have to look at the symbol but also the other symbols also given or the situation you were in when you received the symbol or what has been going on in your life at the time to try to get the correct meaning for yourself.

Also it is important to note, and because I know someone will come and comment and say “It mean this or that specifically”, a symbol that you are receiving can not be easily defined as to it’s meaning. Why? Because some times that symbol and it’s meaning are JUST FOR YOU or it is a code to trigger you. I recommend that before you go with one of the below meanings that you take the time to meditate on the number, ask for more details in a dream or ask for more symbols to be shown to you to help you figure out the meaning that is specific to you. If you didn’t understand what I just wrote then follow this link because Archangel Michael explains it so perfectly. http://www.bbsradio.com/blog/?p=86

From “Number Sequences from the Angels” By Doreen Virtue…”The angels do their best to get our attention and to communicate with us. In this way, they help us heal our own lives. However, we often discount the signs they give us, writing them off as mere coincidences or our imagination. The angels say: “We can’t write our messages to you in the sky. You’ve got to pay attention and believe when you see any patterns forming in your life especially in response to any questions or prayers you’ve posed. When you hear the same song repeatedly or see the same number sequence, who do you think is behind this? Your angels, of course!”  ” http://spiritlibrary.com/doreen-virtue/number-sequences-from-the-angels

Now on to the 5’s…

5

New directions, excitement, change, adventure. Changes are coming about; accept them. Don’t let them become crisis situations.

Read an exerpt from Awakening the Lightworker Within to read about some one’s experience with the number 5. http://spiritofmaat.com/mar08/lightworker_within.html

It is the number of the harmony and the balance. It is also the number of the divine grace.

The number 5 is a characteristic of the man. First, according to the Cabal, it is the number of the perfect Man (got rid from his animal side). According to the Bible, it is the symbol of the Man-God by the five wounds of the Christ on cross (for this reason, it is also considered as the number of the grace). But it is also associated to the man in general (2 + 3) having an unstable character of duality, 2, in spite of his divinity, 3. The 5 is also found on the human body: the five fingers of the hand and feet, the five senses (touch, taste, sense of smell, hearing and the sight), the five members (two arms, two legs and the head, the bust being the center), the five bones forming the metacarpus, the metatarse and the brain-pan, etc.

Considerated as the mediator between God and the universe, the five is regarded as a symbol of the universe.

Symbol of the will’s divine.

Symbol of the perfection in the Mayas.

Symbol of the incarnated conscience - 4, Matter, + 1, Spirit.

Symbolize the force and the limits of the man in his control on the Universe.

According to Thibaut Of Langres, the number 5 is attributed to the world for some reasons. First because the world is moved following a circular movement, just as the 5 when we multiply it by itself or by the other odd ones returns periodically. Also it is called in this sense “periodical”. Five years make a lustre, from “lustrare” which means “to make the turn”. On the other hand, 5 is attributed to the world due to the fact that it is composed of the first even and odd, 2 and 3. The world indeed, that is to say the whole of things, increases by the male and the female - even is female and odd male.

In China, it is the number of the Center in addition to be considered as a male number amulet.

Number of the life and the nature, according to Aeppli.

Being the sum or rather the union of the first female number and the first male number, it is the symbol of creative life and erotic love according to Jung. But this one interprets also this number as that of the revolt.

A nuptial number for the Etruscans and Romans because it is the first number resulting from the addition the first female number and the first male number. For the same reason, C. Agrippa calls it the number of the marriage.

For H.- P. Blavatsky, “5 is the spirit of life and human love.”

Bible
The five wounds of Jesus on the cross.

The five parts of the clothing remaining of Jesus during his crucifixion after the soldiers had made four parts of his dress, plus his tunic which they did not tear. (Jn 19,23)

Saint Paul declares that by five times he received the 39 lashes from the Jews. (2 Co 11,24)

The five mad and wise virgins of the parable of Jesus. (Mt 25,1)

The five porticos of the pool of Bethesda. (Jn 5,2)

The five pebbles which made it possible to small king David to kill the giant Goliath.

The five kinds of animals that God asked Abraham to present to him to conclude with him an alliance: a heifer of three years old, a goat of three years old, a ram of three years old, a turtledove and a young dove. (Gn 12, 5-18)

The five books of the Torah (the Law) according to the Judaism that corresponds to the number of the first books of the Bible. The book of the Lamentations of Jeremiah contains also five chapters.

General
The five wounds of Egypt sent by God by the intermediary of Moses, according to the Koran: the flood, grasshoppers, lice, frogs and blood.

The five paths leaving from the Calvary and directing to the whole world, according to visions’ of Ann-Catherine Emmerick.

In the visions of Maria Valtorta, Jesus classifies the kinds of love in five categories, each one of different power and which are in the order: the love of God, the paternal or maternal love, the conjugal love, the love of the neighbor, the love of the science and the work. The three firsts are of higher power, while the last three are of lower power. But these six divisions are reduced to five because the love of the neighbor and the conjugal love are of identical nature even if they have not the same force, the conjugal love being indeed only a particular case of the love of the neighbor.

In the revelations received by Don Stefano Gobbi, of the Marian Movement of Priests, it is question of the five famous mountains climbed by Jesus: it is on the mountain that he promulgated the evangelical law of Beatitudes; it is on the Thabor mount that he lived the ecstasy of his transfiguration; it is to Jerusalem, city located on the mountain, that he gathered one’s people for the Last Supper and that he passed painful hours of his internal agony; it is on the mountain of the Calvary that he consumed his sacrifice, on the mount of Olives that happened his definitive detachment of one’s people by his glorious ascension to the heaven.

A rosary of the Virgin Mary has five mysteries meditated.

The practice of the five first Saturdays of the month, asked initially by the Virgin Mary to Lucy of Fatima on October 10, 1925.

In Italy, in Lanciano, exists a reliquary, since the 13th century, where is found a miraculous devoted host. While celebrating the mass, a priest came to doubt the real presence of Jesus-Christ in the Eucharist; and, under his eyes, the devoted host becomes a slice of flesh, and the wine, blood which coagulated in five clots. The analyses, undertaken between November 18, 1970 and March 4, 1971, by professors Limoli and Bertelli, from the Faculty of Medicine of Siena, in Italy, concluded, after examination of the host and the blood preserved since the 13th century, that they had no modification! The flesh is a slice of human cardiac muscle, resulting from the myocardium. The blood corresponds to the blood of which it would have been taken out of a human being the same day of the examination. And the five clots of blood, of unequal size, weigh all the same weight each one separately; and all together, put in the same plate of the balance, the weight remains identical without variation.

The five commandments of Buddha Gautama: You will not kill; You will not steal; You will not be impudic; You will not lie; You will not drink intoxicating liquors. Buddhism distinguishes also five great evils: the ignorance, the anger, the desire, the malevolence and the envy.

In the mythology of “Dogons” we find some themes which seem to remind some beliefs of others religions. For example, the bad angel Ogo revolts over Lucifer after having killed his twin sister as Cain had killed his brother Abel. The good angel Nomo, twin brother of Ogo, is crucified to save men from sin, but he resuscitates five days later, period as sacred as the week of Easter for Christians, and became the week of five days which is still practiced nowadays by the “Dogons”.

The five couples of Adam and Eve that they would have had there simultaneously and this, in five different places on the planet, on the five continents, like prototypes of five different races, according to Edgar Cayce. However, according to the mythology of “Dogons”, it is rather four amphibious couples men and women that the god Ama would have created and placed on Earth. Those first humans were immortal, but their descendants became mortals because of their sins.

According to visions of Ann-Catherine Emmerich, the forbidden fruits of the Tree of the Knowledge of the good and the evil of the Garden in Eden hung by five bunches.

In the Gospel of Thomas, Jesus mentions that there are “five trees in the paradise that do not move neither Summer nor winter and their leaves do not fall. Those who will know them won’t die.” (log 19.7-11)

The five fundamental virtues: wisdom, love, truth, goodness and justice.

The five commandments of the Church: to sanctify the feastdays, to assist the mass on Sunday and the feastdays, to confess his sins at least once a year, to receive the communion at least during Easter, and to pay the tithe to the Church - instead of that, others versions speak about the respect of the obligatory fastdays. The Church recommends also five acts to believers before the Communion: the act of faith, love, humility, desire and hope.

The visions of the saints are classified according to five categories: beatific or intuitive vision, “abstract” vision, intellectual vision, imaginary vision and the corporal vision.

The trip of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem, for the birth of Jesus, lasted five days. They arrived on a Saturday, around four o’clock in the evening, according to visions of Mary Agreda.

The five “takbirs” or formula of prayer, in the Islamic religion. The Moslems insist that the prayer is done five times every day. Let us mention that Mahomet was five years old when his Abdallah father died.

The five suns or eras at the Aztecs.

In Hebrew, the number 5 means “seizure, contraction like the five fingers”. It is, told Fabre D’Oliver, the matter seized by the most material of the five senses.

There is in Quebec 5 archbishoprics.

The spacial representation of the number 5 is the pyramid (5 summits with 5 faces) and also the pentagram (5 sides) so the man would be included there.

The five Zener cards used for some tests of parapsychology. The graphics of each cards corresponds to the first five numbers.

The five lines of the stave in music.

The five oceans (Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Arctic and Antarctic) with the five parts of the geographical world: Europe, Asia, Africa, America, Oceania.

In the continuation of fundamental numbers of 1 to 9, 5 is in the center, as it is in the center of the magic square using the first 9 numbers.

Anniversary of marriage: wood’s wedding.

Gematria
Numerical value of the Hebrew letter He (the Not-Me) representing the passive principle by excellence. This letter represents, according to Charrot, “a solar ray pouring on the earth its beneficial rain of life” and it symbolizes the universal life, the breath of the man, the air, the spirit, the soul, all what is stimulating and vivifying. For the cabalist Eleazar of Worm, the letter “He” symbolizes “the breath” .

555 — You are in for a major change in your life. This could be any type of change and could seem negative at first glance. Maybe there are reasons it is time for you to move…neccessary for you to move but you haven’t been getting your but in gear. Change comes whether you cooperate with it or not. So possibly if you resisted the change of needing to move then possibly the change will come in the form of being required to move without a choice. At frist it all may seem distaerous and negative but could lead to the positive change that is needed.

The Dragonfly Symbolism

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

I have noticed through reading message boards and talking to friends that often while we are developing at times we are greatly affected by “the unknown.” Such as, for example, not knowing what changes are coming next, unknown spirit presences, etc. Some times the unknown are things in our daily life such as not knowing whether husband and wife will be able to work their problems out and stay together or will divorce. Often the unknown can cause great anxiety which in turn can effect whether we can sleep, eat, focus, or just function normally in general.

Often when i am feeling anxiety or feeling anything for that matter that I don’t understand what the cause of it is I talk to my guides about it. I know that they will let me know one way or the other what is going on with me or simply a sign of whether there is even any real reason to even be feeling anxious.

So today was one of those days and I was talking to my guide about it when suddenly a dragonfly flew by…but on his way by he stop dead in his tracks (so to speaks) and hovered almost perfectly still in front of my patio screen door as though he stopped specifically to say hi to me. That I can honestly say has never happened before. Then in case I wasn’t paying attention my dog started acting weird and at the same time I heard my printer turn on. When it turns on its pretty loud so there is no mistaking it because the device inside it slides over when the power button is pushed. It’s a large Dell 5 in 1 printer with a flat bed scanner…so it is fairly large too. I went over and checked it but the printer was off. Well my guides make noises all the time when I am talking to them so I am use to it so I knew right away that was just to make sure I knew the dragonfly was in fact a symbol for me and not just a coincidence (which I don’t beleive in coincidences anyway).

About the Dragonfly

Dragonflies are old and adaptive insects, and are most powerful in the summer under the effects of warmth and sunlight. They are fantastic flyers, darting like light, twisting, turning, changing direction, even going backwards as the need arises. They are inhabitants of two realms - starting with water, and moving to the air with maturity, but staying close to water.

Their colors are a result of reflecting and refracting the power of light. As a result, they are associated with color magic, illusion in causing others only to see what you wish, and other mysticism.

Dragonflies are often represented in Japanese paintings, representing new light and joy. To some Native Americans they are the souls of the dead. Faerie stories say that they used to be real dragons.

Dragonflies are reminders that we are light and can reflect the light in powerful ways if we choose to do so. “Let there be light” is the divine prompting to use the creative imagination as a force within your life.

The Meaning

I am posting this info as is and giving the link because for all your animal symbolism needs you need to bookmark this site, it’s awesome…http://www.whats-your-sign.com/animal-symbolism-dragonfly.html.

As a creature of the wind, the dragonlfy totem represents change. It’s iridescent wings are incredibly sensitive to the slightest breeze, and so we are reminded to heed where the proverbial wind blows - lest we run into stormy weather.

Dragonflies are also creatures of the water, and any creature whose habitat is in, or around water carries symbolism relative the the subconscious, or “dreaming” mind and thoughts.

This is because in the animal world, water is symbolic of the subconscious mind (”deeper mind,” “dreaming mind”) and relates to the thoughts we have in relaxed/meditative/sleeping/subconscious states.

Dragonflies carry messages that deal with deeper thought - and they ask that we pay attention to our deeper thoughts and desires.

Why This Makes Sense to Me

Last night I couldn’t sleep even though I was so tired. Every time I closed my eyes I would immediately start seeing things and having visions. Every time I did manage to doze off I would immediately start dreaming and for some reason disturbing to me like a nightmare is disturbing although nothing about what I was seeing should have bothered me. But I would just let the visions come. I kept stopping them because like I said for some reason they were freaking me out. Right before I saw the dragonfly I was talking to my guide about the visions and why I kept stopping them and the unexplained anxiety I had been feeling.

Notice in the section above says “Dragonflies are also creatures of the water, and any creature whose habitat is in, or around water carries symbolism relative the the subconscious, or “dreaming” mind and thoughts. This is because in the animal world, water is symbolic of the subconscious mind (”deeper mind,” “dreaming mind”) and relates to the thoughts we have in relaxed/meditative/sleeping/subconscious states.”

To me there are two messages here for me.

One is about change. Yes I am going through lots of changes in many different ways and aspects of my life.

The other message for me is an answer. The question was…I told my guide that I know I kept stopping the visions instead of just going with the flow and letting them come. I asked for another chance to do this because I have been stopping visions from coming like I did last night for some time now and for the same reason. Something would make me feel uncomfortable and uneasy. Same thing that use to happen when I first started hearing spirit voices outside my head when I was in the inbetween awake and asleep state. So this is my confirmation that we will be trying this again, if not tonight then very soon. lol.

Dream Interpretation - Unresolved Family/Inner Child Issues

Friday, September 26th, 2008

THE DREAM

I was it what looked like my living room but it looks bigger and even more open. There were lots of toy all over the place. There was a little black girl that was looked to be about 5 years old…she looked like how I looked when I was that age and had this cute little dress on that looks like one I had. She was so sweet looking and innocent. She was playing. She walk over to this coffee table that looked like the coffee table from when we lived in Newburgh, NY. But she tripped or feel over something and hit the table in a weird way where she hit it with her whole body bent over it and hit it also so hard on the top that she was knocked out cold. I freaked and ran over and grabbed her and held her in my arms and started screaming for help. My mother had been out in the back yard and came running in. She said something about “You spanked her so hard that she passed out?!” I got pissed and said of course not. I was really mad that she said that. Then I tried to explain what happened.

INTERPRETATION

Unresolved issues going back to when I was a little girl. Issues that were never dealt with. From the time I was little I was bullied and control by my parents and still to this day they bully me, guilt trip me and try to control me. The harder I fight back and try and resist them the uglier it gets. In my waking state I feel like I am fighting two of the worlds scariest demons. This dream clearly shows the unresolved issues and also the fact that I am clueless to how to resolve the issues and how much it is bothering me. The in my face scarey confrontations with harsh hurtful words that I experience quite often from my mother happens again in this dream…it is about my feelings of my parents always blaming me for everything and always pointing the finger like “What did you do now?!” And also shows how I always react by trying desperately to explain myself almost as though I have to convince her of how things really are versus the way she is seeing them and misunderstanding me.

My inner child is still cowering in the corner afraid to come out because she is still not as strong as these people who are her parents. I still don’t know how to deal with the bullies who torture me but I don’t let people see how bad things are inside and I portray a person who is totally together, strong and can handle anything.

SYMBOLISM/MEANINGS

Living Room - To dream that you are in the living room, represents the image that you portray to others and the way which you go about your life. It is representative of your basic beliefs about yourself and who you are.

Furniture - Represents how you feel about yourself and your family. It refers to your relationships with others and how they fit into your life.

Coffee Table – Wood and always super polished. I remember it as not ever having anything on it. It was actually a very inexpensive coffee table but with that high gloss finish and the way my mother kept it polished it looked very expensive and classy. “Looks can be deceiving!”

Furniture & High Polished Coffee Table – Putting the two together makes more sense to me. Now it reminds me of those activities children do in school where they pick ou which object does not belong. That coffee table most definitely does not belong in my life. If it were in my living room it would stick out like a sore thumb. It would be the one thing you could point out and say that it does not belong. And regarding how I feel about myself and my family I feel that we are all living a big fat lie. I feel that my parents have pulled off the biggest charade, posing as loving parents and spouse that are kind and supportive. I see them as wolves in sheeps clothing and they put the sheep costume on for family and friends but they do not wear the sheep costumes for me…they take it off behind closed doors and show their true colors with sharp claws and all.

Toys – Childhood, Domestic Joy and Harmony. They were in the living room so it means that I try to make it seem that domestically everything is fine. Maybe also about my childhood and how I feel that there was an appearance that everything was perfect when things were far from perfect in my world.

Little girl – longing for the past and the chance to satisfy repressed desires and unfulfilled hopes. Take some time off and cater to the inner child within. Perhaps there is something that you need to see grow and nurtured. Also signifies my attempts to save a part of myself from being destroyed.

Little girl being hurt - signifies wounded emotions or feelings that you may have suppressed. You need to address these feelings in order to properly heal.

Little girl being knocked out - unable to consciously confront the issues or the topic that is being raised by the unconscious. In the dream, internal forces, images or emotions that may be to powerful for us to process may have an overwhelming effect on the dream ego and passing out/fainting occurs. Fainting in your dream suggests that you are unable to consciously confront the issues or the topic that is being raised by the unconscious. In daily life, we faint when we are ill or when we are overcome by environmental forces (i.e. heat, smells, a traumatic event or a dramatic visual image). The fainting dream may be the first step in a process of becoming more aware of a particular area of your life.

My Childhood – Part of this dream has things from my childhood. The coffee table… some childhood anxiety has yet to be resolved in your adult life. That is so true and what has been bothering me lately.

My mother - To dream that you are having a conversation with your mother, denotes a matter that has preoccupied your mind and you are not sure how to deal with it in your waking life. It indicates unresolved problems that still need to be worked out with your mother.

Interpreting Dreams

Saturday, September 20th, 2008

Many have dreams that are so interesting, horrific, or just plain weird that they get curious about what they mean. I have been developing my dream interpretation skills for a year now and it has been great practicing interpreting others dreams and seeing how messages and clues are given so cleverly in dreams.

In order to begin interpreting your dreams its important to understand a few things. First, most often dreams are not literal although sometimes they can be. For example, if you spent all day at the bowling alley, listening to the sounds of the alley all day it is not inconceivable that you might dream of the bowling alley. It’s your brains way of unloading and releasing some of the stuff from your day. Sometimes a dream is just a dream, so don’t fall into the trap of thinking that everything you dream has some deep meaning. If your on a diet and have been thinking of how badly you want to eat that last slice of apple pie in the refrigerator then it is not so hard to imagine that you may dream about having your way with that last slice of apple pie.

People in your dreams are often not who you see in your dreams. Your best friend may not be your best friend but most likely represents some part of yourself. For example, when I dream of my best friend it is usually because I often wish I was more like her. More responsible and less live for the moment. lol. Another example is that sometimes Father’s in a dream are Father’s but often they represent what you think of when it comes to a Father. Authority figure, strength, bread winners, protectors, disciplinarians. What does the Father figure mean to you? Seeing my father in my dream may not interpret the same way as you seeing your father in your dream. To make it even clearer I will use this example. Say you were abused by your father growing up. But say someone else’s father was so loving and supportive and giving. So as you can see the dreams would interpret differently based on what Father means to you.

Details are very important. Every detail in a dream must be interpreted to find the meaning/message of the dream. One detail left out and not interpreted could completely change to meaning of the dream. For example, suppose you dream of your neighbor and they are in a convertible sports car. What color was the car? Were the door open? The top down? Where were they sitting in the car? The drivers seat? Did you get in the car? What else were they doing or were they talking? Did they drive off in the car? Was there anything else about the car such as it had two steering wheels or no steering wheel? Was the neighbor driving from the back seat? As you can see seeing something simple like that has so many details to be noticed and interpreted. Another example is maybe you are in a boat in the ocean…what was the condition of the waters? Was it a bright sunny day or storming? Was there lightening also? Was the boat a certain color? Were others in the boat with you? What were their emotions?

Even seeing people there are details to notice. Hair color, length of hair, color of cloths, did they talk, were they faceless, were they laughing, crying, etc.

The task of interpreting a dream is not easy at times but very rewarding. It takes time to learn what many of the things in a dream means. You may be a natural but if you are not and you are like me you will use a dream dictionary in the beginning. But always remember to ask the question…what does such-and-such mean to me.

Happy dream interpreting!

Dream About Two Red and White Snakes

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

I haven’t been remembering my dreams for the past few days but last night I had a dream that seems to stand out in a way that appears to want to be noticed by me.

I was on my back porch of my house (house/home is about the self) and there were two snakes just outside the door. I can’t remember why I had the door open. I closed it a couple of times with the snakes still outside but it seemed that I was trying to let the small baby snake (I know it was a baby snake cause a while back I found a baby snake in my apartment where I use to live…cute but I still didn’t want to touch it). I kept trying to open the door and let the baby snake in but the large full grown snake was right there also and was tryung to come in. I remember saying out loud in my dream that I didn’t mind if the small snake came in. The small red/white snake came in first. Then followed immediately by the large red/white snake which I was clearly scared of.

Also the door to the back porch opened outward and I remember that inside as I looked back it did not look like a back porch but a living room and I could see a lamp on a table. The door opening sometimes signifies new opportunities that will be presented to you. A door opening to the outside signifies a need to be more accessible to others.

I can tell you that what has been on my mind the past couple of days is my blogging. I have never been able to blog before because I had a hard time coming up with ideas of what to blog about and then basically stop almost before starting good. But this time seems to be different. I also seem to be receiving much help from my guides with blogging. Things just seem to be flowing nicely although I still need to work on improving my writing. But I have been worried about whether I will be able to do this. I mean all the way and make some money at it.

So let me not keep you waiting…the meaning of the dream seems to be that the large red and white snake represent the old (old ways, old me)…letting go of the old. The small snake seems to represent the new. The small red snake I was not afraid of and wanted to come in represents the new. Letting the old go and accepting the new. The lamp that was on and I saw the light coming from represents moving toward greater enlightenment/spirituality. Possibly inner. The lamp could also signify guidance, hope, enlightenment and reassurance.

The only part of the dream I am still pondering is that once both snakes were inside I couldn’t find either one of them. In my dream this really worried me. The could be pointing to the anxiety I have regarding my blogging.

A Great Dream Website

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

For those of you who are into or wanting to get into translating your dreams, I have got the website for you!

http://www.thedreamwell.com/page/page/6310600.htm

The Dream Well is an awesome site that explains that really you are the only one who can translate your dreams. Because our own minds, higher selves, spirit guides, etc use symbolism that we individually will understand and relate to…you are the only one who will understand what certain symbolism means to you. Also you are the only one who knows the ins and outs of what has been going on in your life which your dream may be referring to. If your spirit guide wants you to know that a person in your life shouldn’t be trusted do you think they will give you symbolism you can understand or that anyone in general MIGHT understand. It is you that must understand the message and the only way that will happen is if symbolism is used that you can relate to.

The Dream Well will help you understand all that and more. So before you go out and buy that expensive dream dictionary with the pretty colorful pictures, visit The Dream Well and become an expert at translating YOUR OWN dreams.

Thank you to whonever left me the comment letting me know about this site. Much love to you!
