Recently a friend bought up watching the Wizard of Oz and at the time it was one of those moments for me where her mention of it really caught my attention for some reason. A few weeks later as I was writing a letter to a friend to help encourage her through a tough time and the movie came to mind. Usually when writing or speaking with someone I will get information from a higher source by way of little things that suddenly come to mind. It might be a vision of something, thoughts of something specific or even a certain song might pop into my head.

As I typed the letter to my friend and I began to discuss the Wizard of Oz, thinking she is going to think I have totally lost my marbles, it all came flowing out. There’s more to that movie than meets the eye. Watch it and pretend that it is all symbolism and the home Dorothy is trying to get to is the same home that we are all trying to get to. Back to the one, Christ Consciousness, that connection, expanded awareness, OUR HIGHER SELVES.

The movie would still be the same. As she travels her path she meets all kinds of obstacles and no one seems to have the answer to that simple question of how to get home or even can tell her where she is in relation to her home. Can she walk there? Does she need a magically broom to get there? Will she get there before she meets her doom or can she avoid all the pitfalls and still stay totally focused on her goal? As you know she does stay totally focused on her goal to the point where people are getting tired or hearing her asking about getting home. Why can’t you be satisfied with where you are at? It’s so beautiful so why not stay?

All the while people (midgets and such lol) tried to convince her that one man had all the answers for her…that he must cause he was the Great and Powerful Oz. For us sometimes the person is church, government, parents, friends, etc. What happened? Temporarily she believed that this Wizard must have all the answers cause he must be called great and powerful for a reason. The title though was just an illusion as well. She was convinced by many to put her faith in the Wizard and he sent her out to do negative things for him that he couldn’t do cause he was just living in fear himself. Living in fear he was not even in a place where he could help her. It would be like me saying I am gonna get someone who has barely started along their path to lead me and truth that they know the way. Would you trust to devil to lead you to God. Of course not, but the problem was that Dorothy didn’t know her own self and who she was. Everything she needed was inside her to get her home. All she had to do was think of home with love in her heart and click her heels three time. Yeah three times…how’s that for symbolism…three (3) stands for the trilogy. Clicking the heels…the feet…represents mobility, independence and freedom. Taking steps in the right direction and contemplating your goals or your next step. I don’t believe for a minute that the story of the Wizard of Oz was not inspired from a higher source. And look at who she met along the way and the order she met them…yes, I am breaking down the Wizard of Oz…lol. She met first the scarecrow. The scarecrow indicates depression or that you are going through some crisis in your life. Moving on next to the Tin Man…represents mental and intellectual expansion. you are broadening your mind and opening yourself to new experiences…and wasn’t that what she was doing? Then she had to oil him cause he was STUCK and hadn’t been able to MOVE…oil represents that you may need to show more love and compassion in your life. Then the friends suggested BEFORE meeting the lion that she should go to the Wizard for help. Receiving some advice, signifies your high level of integrity and morality. Dorothy had that and it was important for you to see that the person that undertakes this journey has integrity and morality…or would have to acquire them. So then they are confronted by the lion who tries to put fear in them. The symbolism of being attacked by a lion, indicates that you have many obstacles to overcome. You must resist the force that is driving you to self-destruction. Then the lion itself represents great strength, aggression and power. You will overcome your emotions and/or difficulties. As king of the jungle, the lion also represents royalty, leadership, pride and dominion. (God says we as man are to have dominion over the Earth and everything on it…that is something he gave to us by who we are.) The lion says that you have much influence over others (just what God said when he said we had dominion over the Earth). You may also need to exercise restraint in your own personal and social life.

Exercise restraint over what really? Your own emotions…resist the force that could drive you to destruction and isn’t that what the Wizard tried to do when he sent Dorothy and her friends out to retrieve the broom of the wicked witch, thinking all along they would meet their death trying to do it. He sent him down that path that was really a path that led to self-destruction because they could have told him no. The choice was always their own, after all they had FREE-WILL. The lion trying to present himself as fearless was nothing but fearful. Ah, but what was it that he needed to be all that he was meant to be? A HEART! Is it a coincidence that the way to enlightenment is through the heart/heart chakra, the seat of the soul. It turned out that it was something that he had all along and just didn’t know it.

Just as Oz was in sight Dorothy ran into more pitfalls, one being the field of poppies. So there were pitfalls along the way. For some it is drugs which they use to fulfill an emotional need. She fell into that trap but then something so simple saved her from it. Rain. Rain cleanses and when she was cleansed she woke up and still she was focused on the goal and never thought again about the poppies again, except to tell people what she had been through to get to Oz. Oz looked so good but notice it never looked good enough for her to change her mind and decide she would just stay and chill. She then met the Wizard and he was from where she was from but he had accepted defeated and decided to stay in Oz because of the illusion of Oz. The dark ones disguised as members of a beautiful place told him he could be their leader and to his negative ego that sounded very nice since he did aspire to be a Politician. It all looked good to him, but it was just an illusion. Things looked good but it really wasn’t reality and we know it wasn’t because in the end she woke up to realize it was just a dream. No matter how bad or good something is or looks often it is just an illusion and a reality we have created for ourselves that is temporary if we stay focused on the goal. We can chase after lots of money and expensive things that temporarily warm our heart but what it benefits you will be fleeting.

The obstacles in life are just little speed bump along the way and all we have to do is continue having integrity, morality and unconditional love and the rest will follow. Sure it doesn’t always look like we are where we want to be but we must be able to tell what is real versus what is an illusion.

The thing about the movie and Dorothy that stood out most to me was how she always stayed true to who she was. The thing that Yeshua would tell you if late at night you sat at the foot of your bed chatting as you both sipped hazelnut coffee would be that once you know who you are that you could not and never could be or act less than yourself. The very truth of the knowledge would empower you like the lion that didn’t know he was what he wanted to be all along but the fear hid the fact like a veil. As Yeshua said the kingdom of God/heaven is within you.

Many of you many know what a pendulum is and many of you may not. The American Heritage Dictionary defines a pendulum as a body suspended from a fixed support so that it swings back and forth freely under the influence of gravity. I giggle a little bit regarding the influence being listed as only gravity. I would like to define the pendulum as a tool which can be utilized by anyone, regardless of their metaphysical abilities, as a means of communication with spirit, including our higher self, as well as a tool which can be used for other things such as finding water, blocked chakras and the location of medical issues within the body. The pendulum can easily be influenced by our strong feelings of what the truth is or may be. Just as you need to keep a clear head and complete focus on the question and not the answer when using other tools, such as tarot cards, so must you do the same when using the pendulum else your thoughts will influence the answer.

The pendulum is a body suspended from a fixed support which can be almost anything such as a string, chain or the like. It is important to remember that the tool itself does not have power but it is its connection to us or I should say our influence that gives it power. You will hopefully understand that statement by the end of this article and have a better understanding of how to view tools in general and their use. The pendulum can be made up of almost any materials although some people who utilize them eventually have a preference. It can be made up of thread hanging from a needle, your key and key chain, a necklace you happen to be wearing, etc. Why? Well it helps to ask that question since we will be discussing using your body as a pendulum so that you will understand why the body can work as a pendulum. The why is because it is not the pendulum moving its self or even some outside force or your spirit guides hand dictating the movement. It is the energy and vibrations coming through your own body. I will use the clairsentient as an example to make this clearer. As a clairsentient, someone who has the ability to feel subtle energy, you can ask your guide a question and ask that the answer be given by making you feel energy on you right hand for a yes or left hand for a no. That means that for your guide to give you that answer your guide makes energy manifest in either the left or right hand. That same energy and vibration can be sent on through to the pendulum. That is the reason the pendulum works when it is being held but it does not do anything or make any movement when just hanging from the jewelry tree in the store because it is receiving no contact with a body which then it picks up the energy and vibrations from. A person practicing telekinesis would notice that to make a pin-wheel spin it is more difficult at a distance versus being close enough to almost touch it and close enough for your body’s energy field to affect it.

The pendulum, although it can be a safe tool to use, is almost as taboo to some as the weegie board. Any tool used can be a danger if safety precautions are not used and that includes using your own body as a pendulum. Although you are not using a foreign tool you should always ground, protect and state/think your specific intentions before doing any metaphysical work. When in doubt just don’t do it.

If you have read other articles I have written you know that I usually give information based on my own personal experiences. So keep in mind there is often more than one way to accomplish the same goal. If you find other information telling you how to use your body as a pendulum that does not suggest you ground and protect do not avoid the safety precaution just because it is easier to not do so. Use your own discernment and common sense.

The first step in using your body as a pendulum is to ground, protect and clear and balance your chakra’s. It is easiest to use your body as a pendulum if your chakra’s are clear and balance. When clear and balanced energy is able to flow in and out of your body without being blocked. For example, when I have even one blocked chakra it affects my clairsentience, what I am able to feel and how strongly I feel it. But once clear and balance I can feel and sense everything quite clearly. For empaths the same is true. When you have a connection, or connections, you have picked up and not severed they can affect you in so many ways that are not in your best interest. They can affect you being able to effectively remember dreams, hinder efforts to concentrate, and also can have an effect that seems to be the equivalent of dimming your metaphysical abilities. If you are an empath it is important to know that empaths have a tendency to become ungrounded quite easily. It is not uncommon for me to ground several times a day.

Since I do the previous in a meditative state this allows me to at this point to just go a little deeper in meditation. By going deeper I am referring to slowly your brainwaves down even further by simply clearing all thoughts from your mind. I prefer to let my own higher self tell me when I am ready to begin asking questions and receiving answers and this happens because I begin to feel myself rocking slowly forward and back. I would recommend that at either that point or when you feel ready you begin by asking the simple question of which way you will sway when the answer is yes. Take your time and do not rush things. Remember, if this is the first time you have attempted this you may have limited results. The limited results could be a sign that you have a block in one of your chakra’s that needs to be cleared so don’t be to quite to throw in the towel. Metaphysically speaking there are many things that I have done the first time with limited or no successful results at all. You must be willing to be committed to continually working at it until you work out the kinks, so to speak.

When you feel your body sway it is a feeling similar to feeling slightly pushed or rocked gently by some invisible hand but without feeling a hand. When it happens it actually feels like you can not control you’re swaying in that direction or I should say like it is out of your control since technically you know you do have control to stop yourself from swaying if you chose to.

Next ask which way you will sway when the answer is no, then when the question can not be answered. Next you can ask some test question such as “Do I have a son?” or “Was I born in October?” Once you feel comfortable that you understand how you will sway for yes, no and no answer can be given you can proceed and ask the questions you would like to know.

As always remember to be respectful to spirit. Show your appreciation, try not to ask the same questions repeatedly, and last but not least DO NOT SHOOT THE MESSENGER!

Lately, the past few weeks, I have had many occasions to take a look back over the course of the past two to three years. There was a time when I would look back and the path behind me looked fuzzy and bleak even. Now I turn around on occasion and look back down that road and it is a beautiful road. It’s autumn and the leaves are so many wonderful colors along the tree lined street. There is a reason why I look back and the view is different. Awareness and understanding changes what you look back and see. Release of emotional baggage, forgiveness of self and others, and most importantly an understanding of self and who the true self is changes what you look back and see.

I can look back and see decisions I made that got me here. One important decision I want to discuss and the reason I wanted to write this today is a decision to rely almost solely on higher level spirits, including my higher self, for my spiritual and psychic education. Like many of you in the beginning when I was first starting to awaken and I had awakened my empathy fully I wanted to be around others like me. Others who would understand and not think I was weird or a freak. I felt I needed to be around those who had started down the path before me, the ones who had the answers. Of course that all made sense at the time, a time when I felt alone because no one in my circle of peeps at the time could comprehend what I was going through or even had an open enough mind to consider the things I was experiencing as reality. I consider myself very fortunate because early on I got a strong feeling that I needed to go it alone. By alone I mean just me and my guides, the ascended masters, archangels, and God. Even though I considered my ability to communicate with spirit at that time mediocre I learned to listen when I could hear, understand what I could when I felt, and learned the symbolism of dreams and nature. If I had it to do all over again I wouldn’t wish for kick ass clairaudience so it would be easier because now I realize that I learned more from nature, dreams and expanded awareness as I advanced than I would have from hearing a sentence or two. What I am saying is that I put my trust in THEM and SELF and they made everyday life and every part of it my classroom.

I did eventually learn that my original longing to be in a group with others who understood and accepted me to be fear based and a part of the negative ego. Of course I am not saying being in a group is bad but that if the reason for wanting to be there is something negative then that must eventually be resolved if you are to advance spiritually. If you do go the route of the group, be thankful, compassionate and understanding of your group but know when it is time to let go. My son is starting Kindergarten tomorrow (OMG…Tomorrow! Lol) and for the past five years every where he has gone I have driven him. I took him to his doctors appointments and didn’t leave his side, I took him to pre-school and saw him into his classroom safely, I took him to karate since he was two and was present for everything he learned, was tested on and every moment of advancement, I was with him outside as he played, and I never took my eyes off him as he played on the playground at the park. Tomorrow I will put him on a bus and he will be on his own…because it is time. So know when it is time for you to finally go off on your own and do it like my son is, fearless and with child-like excitement.

The journey may be new, the path you’re going down may be unknown to you, but you were born with everything you needed to succeed.

Don’t think for a minute that I made all right decisions. Believe me I made my share of decisions that either stopped me from moving forward or put me on the wrong path temporarily. Those decisions that had me making wrong turns down one way streets were necessary and there was always something to be learned from the things that on the outside seemed bad.

There is a point where you look back and the way you came just looks so awful, long and hard but then one day you wake up, and I am talking about expanded awareness, and all those things that made the path behind you look so awful actually make the path behind you the most beautiful road you have ever seen. Yes, when you can finally realize, and with a smile on your face and in your heart, that those things of the past had to happen just as they did. They were never wrong, but things that you yourself planned for to learn the lessons you needed to learn.

And what of those other players? The people in your life who you have struggled with, who did bad things to you, who seemed to be your road blocks and the cause of the emotional distresses that had you seeking out therapy, your priest or led you to addictions. What of them? They played the role they were requested to play for you. For the longest time I couldn’t figure out how I was suppose to only feel love for the people who were playing those roles in my life. I questioned so many times how I was ever going to be able to look at them and only feel love, compassion and understanding for them. I am not going to give you the answer because that would be easy but possibly gain you nothing. I am instead going to paint a picture for you.

Imagine that it is a time before your incarnation and you are sitting at a big conference table. This is a meeting you want to be at unlike the office meetings you may suffer through at your job. Lol. Around this table sits you and all the players in your life. The spirits who are good friends of yours on the other side who are going to play the role of your parents, siblings’, spouse, and friends. The spirit who is going to be the one who car jacks you and puts you in the hospital is there too and you smile at each other because you love each other very much and have since the beginning of your existence. The spirit who plays the role of the cheating husband who breaks your heart is there also for the meeting and although you love him in spirit you will end up hating him in life more than you hate anyone else. This meeting is for you, to discuss the roles everyone will play and the lessons they will help you to learn. You are the one more or less in charge of this meeting and are calling the shots. You have attended many meeting like this before in the past and gotten briefed on the role you are going to play in someone’s life. They each have in front of them notes you handed out, that you created yourself, which explain their roles and what you want them to do. It’s all your doing and you’re heading up that meeting with all in attendance being spirits you love so much.

Forget about whether or not you believe that scenario is possible and contemplate what you think if it is true and how you see the players in your life with that scenario I mind. Can you see the spirit you love so much on the other side who ends up being the man who car jacks you in a different light? Can you maybe see that he made a sacrifice for you by playing that role? He loved you so much he would play a role that would end up wrecking havoc on him because of cause and effect. Can you see that the role he is playing in your life helps you with a lesson but also is most likely a lesson for him as well? Can you see that you are both working at the same thing with the same goal of spiritual advancement? When you know the truth does forgiveness maybe come easier? Is compassion a little bit easier to give to your parents, siblings’, spouse, etc. with that expanded awareness? Okay the answer may be no right now and if it is that is okay. As your awareness expands understanding comes and you will be ready for it when it comes and it is not something that can be forced because you want to speed along on your spiritual journey. Just relax and enjoy the ride!

A translation faculty is what you utilize when interpreting symbols you receive using your psychic abilities regardless of which ability you are using. I like to think of the translation faculty as being the dictionary of your psychic mind. In the dictionary are stored all the associations and meanings for the symbols you receive. It allows you to upon receiving a symbol that may be a clairvoyant image, clairsentient sensation, clairolfactory smell, clairaugustory taste, or empathic feeling reach into that dictionary and know what the symbolic meaning is.

The way the translation faculty works is much the same as translation of dream symbols. Believe it or not at one time I thought a translation faculty was something you had to ask for and wait to receive. I asked, waited and as you can imagine I was quite disappointed that I got nothing. Laugh if you must, but as I have previously stated misconception is something that trips many people up who are developing their psychic abilities.

A translation faculty is important to develop if you will be using your clairsentience to communicate with spirits or give someone a reading, especially readings of chakra systems or readings to discover underlying emotional issues that may be causing blocks and illnesses.

Often when someone is beginning the process of awakening they experience many new feelings and sensations that are foreign to them. They find themselves wondering why they felt sensation here or there and what it means. Sometimes those sensations are chakras opening and the sensation the feel of energy which can finally flow freely through them. Other times the sensations are their clairsentience beginning to awaken and actual communication from their guides who are so happy and thrilled they have started to awaken to their true selves. Many times we ask for help during this time in our journey and then forget quickly that we asked for help. We are not use to asking for help and it actually coming to us. So when our guides respond eagerly to the call for help they will attempt to communicate with us in many different ways. Through dreams, animal symbolism, numerology, through other people, and through our newly awaken abilities. Of course our abilities may be still undeveloped and misunderstood, however they will still try to communicate with us and hopefully we are paying attention, listening and watching for the help we asked for.

In developing your clairsentience it will be important to be able to communicate with your guides, especially your teacher guide. You may be thinking how that will be possible if you have not learn to use your clairsentience yet. It is actually easier than you might think.

First let me tell you that I did your reading by connecting to you and going outside and asking my guide to ask your guide what she/he wants you to know…so your reading is through nature symbolism and clairsentience.

You have some communication issues with someone near you. I am also getting a lack of independence and freedom. I feel this is related to a loved one in your life. Mother?
At this time I am getting that you are lacking control and confidence. This may be affecting your progress at this time. You need to reach and utilize your full potential. But there is somethin that is a burden to you or possibly overwhelming you.

I asked about your soul purpose and this is where it got really interesting cause keep in mind I was outside so that I could get symbolisms from nature:

The most beautiful black butterfly I have ever seen appeared. The butterfly shows your sensitivity as the butterfly is extremely sensitive to the Harmony of Earth, and is the first creature to leave a damaged ecology. Now again as I type this up I get my left hand and know that it is about how you connect to those around you. You are experiencing some insecurity and are going through a struggle wit some situation. The butterfly was lit on a marigold flower for quite some time and this tells you that you need to add more joy into your life through nature. This could be telling you that you need to get out more and experience nature and connect back to the earth and possibly that will help balance what is out of balance within you at this time. The butterfly also signifies change and asks us to stop keeping our joy at bay. The butterfly was black so I feel this is pointing to a change and a need to bring out spiritual and divine qualities in yourself. The butterfly was in the garden and this speaks of your potential and indicates that your hard work and diligence will pay off in the end. It is also symbolic of stability, potential, and inner growth. You need to cultivate a new skill or nurture your spiritual and personal growth.

A small black moth appeared next. The moth cannot rely on its sight, but has a highly developed sense of smell, which it uses at night, and indicate a need to be more sheltered in your creative transforming activities and relationships. Moth totems and messengers usually indicate an awakening sense of smell. It will be the fragrance of the opposite sex that will most attract and discourage. Trusting in one’s own outer and inner sense of smell will be important in relationships–sexual or otherwise.

What happened next was awesome…total silence. All of nature was suddenly quiet and I could have heard a pin drop. Then suddenly the sound of so many crickets it was almost deafening compared to the silence that ad preceded the sound of them. This is telling you of te potential of new opportunities you will have the opportunity to go after because it is a jumper and is willing to leap toward new opportunities. When you hear the chirp of the cricket it can indicate an opening or reopening of your inner voice will happen.

I am now getting my left ear which means you need to be more receptive to help and guidance from your guides.

Keep in mind that moths also chew holes in your clothes. Clothes represent your character. Is there something bothering you and eating you up inside? The cricket totem can help you get your emotional body in balance.

Next I looked up from the notes I was taking and on the table in front of me was a baby lizard looking at me like “here I am Im next do me now!” lol. Scared the crap out of me. lol. Lizards are associated with “dreamtime” and “clairvoyance.” They have the ability to consciously tap into intuition and higher knowledge. People with lizard medicine are able to sense subtle energies that most people overlook. It is important for people with lizard as their totem to pay heed to their own inner messages. Lizards are also known for their great speed and quick movements. For this reason, it is not surprising that a cartoon Gecko is a commercial icon for a well known car insurance company. Car accidents are often the result of speeding on the roadways. When lizard shows up it is likely a message to slow down and observe. It is time for you to be put on alert. Pay attention! You may be missing obvious clues that are right in front of you because you are in such a hurry to get somewhere.

Other than that I noticed that you need to work on your solar plexus. And lastly I was told you need to take control in your life…authority, direction, judgment are about you taking control and making decisions.

I am not fond of spiders by a long shot. I have had my share of bad experiences with spiders so I would really prefer not to have a message coming to me by way of the spider symbolism but it has been unavoidable this past week. Spiders every where!!!

One day this past week one crawled on my leg. Day two of the spider encounters a small one crawling on the tile floor in my hallway. Day three spider encounter sitting at my computer another little one came down on it’s web right in front of the monitor. Obviously by that point I was not noticing a pattern so that night a dream full of little spiders so I said “Okay, I am paying attention and I get that you are trying to tell me something.” This morning a spider is building a home on my patio and I must admit I feel guilty at the thought of ruining his day by taking a broom to him and his home he worked so hard on overnight. lol. I must say that with all these spider encounters I did not have any of the normal anxiety emotions I normally feel in the pit of my stomach at the sight of them. That in itself say a little something…that this message is not one to feel anxious about and it is not a bad omen or warning.

The spider is an ancient symbol of power, mystery and growth. Much of what the spider has to tell us is in the construction of it’s web. The spider weaves an intricate web that serves as his home, the way he gets food to feed himself and also acts as a place of growth for its eggs. For it’s life the web for the spider is about survival. Also consider that the spider can CREATE it’s web just about any where and it is not even concerned it seems about what might come along at any moment and ruin it’s hard work. The spider to me is fearless for it will build its web outside with no thought of the fact that it might rain and the winds blow and wipe out its home. It just moves on without another thought and starts the process all over again some where else and many times bravely again in the same place.

What about us humans? The spider shows us that it is all about CHOICES. We have choices (free will) we can make and we literally can make any choice and any decision we want, true? True! Ahhhh but the spider tells us something even more important. Whatever choice we make constructs our lives and so even though we may be fearless we still need to be mindful of the choices and decisions we make for we create our own destiny.

So if you have been recently pondering some decision and unsure of what direction to head in or unsure if the decision will keep you on or throw you off your path…the spider says the decision can be any direction but just remember whatever you end up with is what you yourself have weaved.

Every time I read an article or a post on clairsentience I get a little ticked off. There is such bad info out there it’s ridiculous. And at one time I was the receiver of some of that bad info which is why it took so long to figure out the truth of clairsentience and how to use it.

Many of the bad info I read when it comes to the authors telling how they use their clairaudience they speak of hearing (thoughts) or receiving intuitive messages. I also have read the crap (Sorry for my bad attitude but it burns me because bad info hinders peoples development) about what some authors and clairsentience think the sensations they feel are and I notice they feel that it is everything BUT communication.
Well I will tell you the truth. I spent almost a year researching clairsentience. I felt like I was in college studying for my Masters Degree because of how much time I spent researching clairsentience. But I had no choice because over night my clairsentience came on strong and when I say strong I mean it was like day and night. I felt like I was a different person. I notice that when people spoke to me depending on what they were saying I would get certain sensations in certain parts of my body. After all the research I did I realized that just like other abilities clairsentience was no different. I was receiving symbolic messages but instead of seeing an image, smelling or tasting something I was receiving the symbols associated with different parts of my body. I still did not have a good understanding of what was happening though but the answer came from someone I gave a practice reading to. She was so nice. I explained that I would feel things on different parts of my body and thought it was because the person has something wrong or and injury with that part of their body, but as she later cleared up for me I was way off. It was not injury I was feeling but a symbolic message that I had to translate. After giving her a reading and telling her what I felt in response to questions I asked she easily translated what I had received. She translated the sensations and if it has not been for her I would have never been able to ever use my clairsentience today as I do and carry on a complete conversation almost using only the sensations I feel.

An example of what I am talking about is when I am being told someone is heading in the right direction I feel my lower right leg. If I am being told that someone needs to rethink a situation or something then I feel a sensation on the left part of my head.

So what has me soooo frustrated about others information about clairsentience? That they say if you have clairsentience you get tingles her and there but it’s just your energy centers clearing, Here is an answer to me asking someone who professed to be a fully developed clairsentient back when I desperately needed correct answers:

“Hi Sherry,

As far as communicating, they use telepathy (thoughts). Though sometimes if no one is around, I voice my responses and questions, then listen. Usually the first thought that enters your mind is their answer. But being verbal is really unnecessary. Communicating or talking with them is accomplished simply by talking as you do with people. No special method or ritual. Just communicate/talk as you normally would talk to someone.

The heat your feeling is your physical response to energy, which can often be a signal of a nonphysical energy presence. I get tingling sensations or an electric type sensation. Its quite an experience. When I feel energy in my hands and feet, its an indication that my energy source is flowing unobstructed. For me, the first time this happened is when I knew I could perform healing on myself and others.”

This person who gave me advise is advising others in developing and using abilities. Telepathy is not clairsentience and is more tied to clairaudience. But acutally telepathy is a Psi ability. She says “the first thought that enters your mind…” Hmmm, does that or does that not describe clairaudience? Yup, clairaudience.  Feeling sensations in the hands is about communication although also it sounds like her hand chakras were trying to more fully open and when chakras first open the energy flows strongly. Those chakra centers just opened aren’t use to the amount of energy that is suddenly able to flow through them. Sensations in the feet also can be translated as well although same as all chakra points when first opened you will feel tingling as they are opening and clearing.

Clairsentients often also have other other abilities that work in conjunction with clairsentience such as clairaudience, clairvoyance, claircognizance, clairolfaction and clairgustance…but clairsentience IS NOT all those things wrapped up into one as many state on their websites and blogs. Clairsentience is clear feeling/sensing period. Clairsentience is also NOT psychometry. Anyone can develop psychometry regardless of what abilities they have developed. And psychometry does not work like clairsentience in that when messages are recieved via psychometry you receive the messages via whatever ability you have. So if you are clairvoyant then using psychometry you would receive images of what is received, for example. Ted Andrews wrote an excellent book that is so thorough called “How To Do Psychic Readings Through Touch.”

So, once I found out that the truth was that the sensations were symbologic messages that needed to be translated I did some more research and found the “Book of Storms.” In this great course you learn about the translation faculty. At first I thought it was something I had to ask for and would be downloaded into my chakras or something. I know, funny! A translation faculty simply means you create a dictionary of what the symbolic messages mean to you. That proved to be difficult although not impossble. I spent a lot of time with my guides day after day building a translation faculty. And that ended up being the KEY to using clairsentience.

Who would want a cockroach as their animal totem? Not many, however, the cockroach is a very powerful animal totem to have and even if the cockroach is not your animal totem but just an nasty little visitor coming by to give you a message be thankful.

The cockroach is all about survival and reminds you that no matter what life throws at you, you have all the tools neccessary already at hand to survive even the worst that life can throw at you. The cockroach shows you that you have the ability to know when it’s time to scurry out of the way of danger and also how to survive in all circumstances and environments. And if your see that big slipper coming at you in an attempt to flatten you just know that you have what’s neccessary to move quickly and change direction in a heart beat.

Cockroaches are symbolic of tenacity and longevity and could symbolize the need for renewal, rejuvenation and self-cleansing of your psychological, emotional, or spiritual being.

Today was very much a snake day for me. Snakes are far from my favorite animals so a year ago when I found out one of my animal totems was a snake and I began having many encounters, in my waking life, in visions during meditation and even in my dreams, I was not exactly thrilled. To find this was a powerful animal totem to have comforted me very little I must admit.

Today’s performers were the black snake with a cameo appearance from the mockingbird. You will see below why the mockingbird has earned a special place in my heart.

In ancient Greek and Roman cultures, snakes were symbols of the healing arts. In Mayan art, the serpent is frequently portray and is perhaps most famous as Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent. In the bible, the snake symbolizes temptation and forbidden knowledge. Carl Jung considered snakes to be archetypal, a powerful symbol of the collective conscious.

The snakes message by way of it’s characteristics, is that it must shed it’s skin for new growth to occur. In order to move forward in my life, I must shed old beliefs and habits. For me the biggest thing recently has been trying to get into the habit of reacting with love to my parents. Reacting negatively to the way they treat me and the hurtful words has become such a habit for me that even though I have grown and healed the bad habit is still there tugging at me. Before seeing the snake that is what had been on my mind, that I have to make a major conscious effort to break my reaction patterns.

Crawling out of its old skin is very significant for those with this medicine. It is a metaphor for how we shed old ways and habits as we grow into higher spiritual energy symbolizing the death and rebirth process.

I have been going through the process of working more on my issues with my parents through understanding the mirrors we have for each other and the similar wounds we share. Through this understanding I have gain honest sympathy (sincerely in my heart) for what they have experienced in the past that affects them. This has had a profound affect on me because for the first time in my life I can talk about the issues I have had with them and not feel anger and resentment but actual understanding without thinking of poor me. That is huge for me. For so long I have wished and worked toward this. The eyes of a snake are always open protected by immobile transparent scales. Prior to shedding its skin the snakes markings become obscure and the eyes appear opaque or blue. This gives it a trance like appearance as if it is looking right through you. Learning how to see into the hearts of others is part of what it teaches us.

Recently I have been doing much searching for answers and solutions/resolutions. I have a renewed vigor on my quest and have made some good headway. Asking for a dream regarding my pre-birth planning session before incarnation that I discussed briefly in a previous post was very successful, getting Kryon’s help with some chakra work and healing, and re-newing my commitment to mediation and chakra work has helped bring home all the previous self work I have done over te past three years.

The snake symbolizes healing on a cellular level. Because their bodies are lightweight and flexible they have speed and agility. When they enter into your world expect swift changes to sweep through your life. These changes signify a death of the old and a birth into untapped power, creativity and wisdom. Snake is a powerful totem to have. Only those with a high degree of spiritual training, be it past or present, will be awarded this totem. It is the guardian of sacred places and the keeper of hidden knowledge.

Many of the signs I have received recently have also come along with a symbol of duality. Seconds after stepping outside my parents backdoor I heard rustling near the edge of the yard that got my attention. That is when I saw the first snake. About thirty minutes later I was inside with my son looking outside and we spotted the second snake, much bigger than the first. The symbolic meaning of number two is kindness, balance, tact, equalization, and duality. The number Two reflects a quiet power of judgment, and the need for planning. Two beckons us to choose. The spiritual meaning of number Two also deals with exchanges made with others, partnerships (both in harmony and rivalry), and communication. Two urges us out of our indecision, calls us to unite with like-minds, and like-ideals. Two asks us to exert our natural flow of judgment to do what is best for our souls.

As my son and I were watching the second snake, very close to the house and I admit making me feel a bit uneasy, a mockingbird (one of my totem animals) comes out of another tree in the yard and swoops down on the snake, coming so close that I was over-impressed by its fearlessness, and did not stop until it had run the snake off around the other side of the nearby shed. The mockingbird then sat on the fence nearby to where the snake had run/slithered to hide and sat there at least twenty minutes watching for the snake to dare come back out in the open.

The plumed serpent Quetzalcóatl (adorned with the green feathers of the quetzal bird) was a divinity of great religious significance, apparently representing a harmonization of the duality bird/snake (and thus heaven/earth). (The Mayan name of the plumed serpent was Kukulcan.) The bird/snake polarity is represented, for example, in the arms of Mexico City.

Birds and snakes together symbolize opposites: above/below, sky/earth. In Hindu mythology, the mythical bird that slays serpents is Garuda. A giant bird is a symbol for a solar bird, a cosmic or divine messenger.

Sorry I couldn’t find more information on birds and snakes interacting, but you can see the message of opposites closely as well as the message of the need for balance with a hint of the reminder that we are stronger than we give ourselves credit for.

I wanted to share this for those of you who are currently searching out their soul purpose or those of you who have thought about it but didn’t know how to figure it out. Well, if you are the later don’t feel bad. With all the reading I have done I never had a really good grasp of the process of figuring this out for yourself. It’s different when asking someone else to use their abilities to tell you what your soul purpose is because we are pulling the information from the Akashic Records. But discovering your own soul purpose for yourself can prove to be difficult but I do think it is more rewarding and will lead you to better, more fulfilling self discovery if you find your soul purpose on your own. Do you think you would prefer to be told your soul purpose rather than discover it for yourself?

There are ways to discover your spiritual purpose. They include: 1) opening to and meditating upon the images that come into your mind during moments of stillness and silence (Don’t forget to ask the question first before you meditate. Ask to know your soul purpose and go into your meditation focusing on that goal); 2) becoming an anthropologist of your past within this lifetime to gain insight into your purpose; and 3) seeking visions, information and guidance from your higher self and your future self; and 4) journeying into the Akashic Records to view key moments of your current life, including your pre-birth planning session, your last day on Earth and other key moments.

I did #4 today during a nap from 1:30pm to 4:00pm. I don’t normally nap longer than an hour when I take a nap during the day. I asked to be awakened after I was finished receiving everything regarding my pre-birth planning session. I was awoken promptly after the last part of my dream by a mysterious text message to my phone. lol. I just love how my guides work! Great use of technology. lol.
