When someone says they “awakened” an awakening can mean many different things. An awakening could be awakening to a new truth that affects great change in you. A spiritual awakening implies that you awakened in a spiritual sense but could still have been affect by accepting a new truth. There is also the metaphysical awakening in which latent abilities begin to come to the surface and manifest.
Many will speak of when they awakened. For example, I say that I awakened in 2007 and this is true however you must understand that awakening is a process just as ascension is a process, and a process that takes time. In truth there is a beginning to awakening and although not common there are those who do have complete awakenings and that would be considered a complete enlightenment (becoming Christ)…rare but it still does happen.
