I was reading responses on an old forum that is no longer in exsitance that was apart of the site Psipog.net and someone had asked about a book recommendation for chakras and doing chakra work. The first person to respond suggested Google and reminded me of the way I would have answered that question. Although I also often recommend this book or that book, there is such a wealth of information at your finger tips for free. Any knowledge is good and benefits you although all may not resonate with you as being truth.
If someone recommends a book then by all means I would suggest you take personal recommendation very seriously. Some life changing books I have read have been recommend to me. However, of course, often one book doesn’t have it all. It is great to aquire knowledge from a variety of sources. It will make the knowledge you end up having more well rounded and give you more to work with as far as your meditation bring understanding. Let’s say for example you read one source on a subject and meditate on it to get understanding after you read it. What do you think would happen if you read multiple sources on a subject and then meditated for understanding? Of course your understanding would end up being at a much higher level, like saying you gave yourself more to work with, and you would attain a greater depth of knowledge on the subject like the different between just taking psych 101 versus taking all the psych courses a college had to offer.
Many times you can also read excerpts of books on the internet and that is always helpful. Especially helpful if you are working on developing discernment. Give the excerpt a read and then with your discernment decide if that book resonates with you.
