Why Are We Here?

We are here living a human existence for a reason. What we are exactly are spirits living a human existence. We are not doing this because we have nothing better to do but of course there is a reason for our existence as such. Our purpose is as it was in every lifetime and also whether we were on this side of the veil or the other, this dimension or another, and whether we existed as male, female or our true spirit selves which is a balance of both and speaks of perfection that is how we were created. Our goal is spiritual advancement and this is something we work on for eternity. There is no ceiling and the all is ever growing, expanding and creating and hence there is always more spiritual growth ahead of us. We never really get closer to the end of anything for there really is no finite beginning or end. Linear thinking is to believe there is a specific beginning and end to everything. Go ahead and throw that thinking out the window right now if you wish or hold on to it for a while longer. If you choose to hold onto it for a while longer just know that that is the reality you will live. To throw away the believe in linearality is to think outside the box and not inside it seeing a ceiling and walls on everything. Knowledge stretches that until finally you have no choice but to either throw away a certain belief or to stop growing and to stay contained within it. So as you read on feel free to write in the margin “linear thinking.”

We live lifetime after lifetime to gain experiences from living. We also choose the plan for our lifetime and how we will gain those experiences. Before you were born this time around you made those decisions ahead of time. You had a plan for yourself and for your growth. This lifetime is not clear cut and separate from the previous however. Within you is the knowledge of the previous lives you have lived and the knowledge you gained from them. The affect of those previous life times are apart although you most often miss their obviousness. Are you afraid of height for no apart reason? Does a certain smell bother you even though you do not know why? Do you ever pass someone who you do not know and feel they look familiar to you? Have you ever met someone and felt you have know them all your life although you are just meeting for the first time? Many of these things are clues to who you are and the lives you have lived. The many many lives you have lived.

There is a point to life and the experiences that are filling your lives whether the experiences are good or bad. They are for your learning and your growth and sometimes these experiences which are lessons are tough lessons, painful lesson, frustrating lesson, and sorrowful lessons. Many get caught up in the lessons because they are so hard and when that happens you have a hard time seeing the forest for the trees. The lesson may be so painful to you that you can’t stop living in the pain long enough to see and understand the lesson. If you could you could stop the pain you are experiencing. I am not saying it is that easy, to tell yourself to stop focusing on the pain and look for the lesson within it, but it is something that eventually has to happen to be able to heal, move past it and grow from it. That is in effect your goal in every lifetime as I have said. To learn and grow from the lessons that are the experiences of your life.

These experiences are not just about you. There are many player in the lessons you experience. Mother, Father, children, friends, co-workers, strangers and more because the list of players that take part in creating the experiences seems endless. The person who cut you off in traffic this morning is playing a role in your life although it may be a short one. How did you handle that experience of being cut off in traffic? Did you yell, scream, think negative thoughts about the person, or use any body language to show your dissatisfaction? How did you handle the experience? These questions lead to the answer of what is the lesson. Maybe the lesson is tolerance, understanding, unconditional love, or about choices and decisions.

Whether you choose to accept this truth or not, the truth is everyone is on a spiritual journey. Nothing in life that you do, get involved in, or contemplate can be classified as not having to do with spirituality. Of course many people are going about their day to day lives and thinking that there is a difference between themselves and another who is more consciously on a spiritual journey. The only difference really is that one is fully aware of their journey and the other is still taking the journey although not awaken to the fact that they are. That is okay if you are one that is not aware of your journey because it does not change the trip. If you have awakened then you did so when you planned to and if you have not then you did not plan to awaken early than now. Possibly if you are reading this book then your time is now. All things happen for a reason and there are no coincidences.

There is a point to life. There is a reason why we are here. We came into existence at different times and some of us are older souls than others. We were created and then we lived lifetimes some times here on Earth and sometimes other places in the universe and possibly even other universes. We were different genders at different times and we played many different roles in the lifetimes we lived. The point of living multiple lifetimes is for the purpose of the main goal which is spiritual advancement. Do you think God created us for any other goal than to work on our spirituality. You could say that creating us like him, or in his image, or even with the thought of himself in mind, that of course he wanted us to be ever working on perfecting ourselves to be more and more like him. To spiritually advance to where he is although he is ever expanding as is everything, and with things ever expanding you can see that means our purpose for being and our goal is never ending. To infinity and beyond as Buzz Lightyear says.

So there it is. The answer to why we exist, but that is just the beginning, but it is always good to start at the beginning and so that is where we will start. Realizing the truth of why we exist, although a big realization, is only the beginning of figuring out life. When I say life I mean this lifetime but it also infers any lifetime you have lived because it is continual. Although you switch bodies and purposes for what you want to achieve in each lifetime the main goal andpurpose stays the same. Spiritual advancement.
