How To Use Crystals To Clear and Balance Your Chakras

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

This post is not about crystal therapy but a simple how to use crystals, so this may be a short, sweet and simple post.

If you have some beautiful crystals you have purchased or been given and are not sure how to use them, not to worry because it is quite simple.

It is easier if you are laying down when you do crystal therapy on yourself. The crystals will be laid on your body so that they are over the chakra you would like to clear and balance. Let say for example that you would like to balance your sacral chakra and your masculine feminine energies. A carnelian crystal is great for this task. Place the carnelian crystal a couple of fingers widths below your navel, relax and focus on your sacral chakra. As you relax and focus on the sacral chakra imagine and feel the energy from the crystal being absorbed into your chakra. Imaigne that the chakra is being cleared and balance and try to feel that as well.

The time that it takes to clear and balance the chakra of course varies. Some people say that they have experienced crystals falling off the area or almost popping off when healing is complete. This is really something you have to attempt to feel but if you are unsure give it at least 15 minutes. The chakras will not absorb more energy than they need.

My suggestions for crystals to use with the seven chakras plus the foot chakra is as follows:

Foot - Howlite

Root (clairolfaction) - Bloodstone

Sacral (clairsentience) - Carnelian

Solar Plexus (astral travel) - Citrine, Yellow Calcite

Heart (empathy) - Malachite, Green Aventurine and Rose Quartz

Throat (clairaudience, clairgustance) - Sodalite

Brow (clairvoyance) - Labadorite

Crown (claircognizance) - Amethyst

Develop Your Empathy - Charkas Connected to Emapthy

Friday, February 20th, 2009

I am writing this post for Lucille but hopefully this will be helpful to many of you.

Here is a senerio that is what I acutally experienced and lead me to deeply wonder if I was an empath…

Although all the signs were there I did not actually start seriously wondering if I was an empath until I was in my late 30’s after the birth of my son. I swear, I think having a child does something to change you so deeply. Parts of yourself that were always there unrealized start coming to the surface. Suddenly I couldn’t watch a movie or the news without totally losing it and bawling or shaking uncontrollably. I knew something was up but for about a year I just couldn’t figure out if I just never noticed that I was sensitive to certain things or if something was really changing within me…or awakening.

To make a long story short I started searching for information on emapthy but even reading about the traits still didn’t 100% convince me of whether I was an emapth or not but I had to know who I really was. Being adopted I always had a sense of not knowing but knowing there was more to me than what was on the surface. And so I searched like I was obsessed. lol. With every little bit of info I found it lead me to more. Empathy articles lead me to articles about meditation which lead me to info about chakras which lead me to information about psychic abilities and there it was again…empathy was mentioned and I had come full circle. But I was still feeling like “Ah Ha!” but still not knowing what it all meant specifically to ME. So I had learned a lot but still I had to know without a doubt the truth and so it seemed to me I would only find that out by opening and clearing my chakras.

I started by learning to meditate first…just 5 minutes at a time. Once I could meditate 5 minutes without my mind wondering and losing the stillness of my mind I began practicing opening and clearing the chakras in meditation starting with the foot charka and working my way up and then leaving the third eye/brow charka for last.

Approximately 3 weeks later it hit me suddenly. Just one day, just like that, I was fully awakened to who I really was…and empath. I left my house and drove to my parents house and two houses away I felt them. My Fathers cold, his head, my Mother medication issues, her allergies (not nice), etc. I was almost afraid to actually go in their house for fear of what I would feel standing right next to them.

Note that from the first time I opened and balanced my chakras I worked on them every day faithfully for approx 15-30 minutes a day. I say that to let you know…it doesn’t come easy…there is work involved. If you don’t do what is necessary or you don’t want to you will not achieve any results.

Now on to the good stuff.

The three chakras that most affect empathy are:

SACRAL PLEXUS CHAKRA-
Located about two inches below the navel. This chakra is responsible for our sexuality, physical vitality, emotions, pleasure, desire, passion, love, change, new ideas, and health. It corresponds with all things forementioned. Stones that open this chakra are carnelian and coral.
Color: Orange, balanced by brown

SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA-

Located just below the chest. This chakra represents ability to pick up vibrations and tune in to energy from other people, places, and things. It corresponds with self-control, control of desire, authority, transformation, happiness, and energy. Stones that open this chakra are amber and citrine.
Color: Yellow, balanced by green

HEART CHAKRA-
Located over the heart. This chakra represents empathy and our ability to ground energy that flows through our bodies. It corresponds with feelings, forgiveness, unconditional love, understanding, compassion, trust, and openness. Stones that open this chakra are jade and aventurine.
Color: Green, balanced by pink

Awakening Mandala

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

My inspiration for this mandala was Metatron’s Cube. It’s a very powerful mandala to meditate on.

It has been filled with Reiki energy to help the awakening process. It is simple to use you just stare at the mandala and meditate on it. Of course the longer you meditate on it the more effective it will be. Send an email to sahorlando1065@hotmail.com if you would like me to email you the full size graphic of this mandala.

If you use it please leave me some feedback. If you found the mandala helpful and would like to give a donation, it can be sent via http://www.paypal.com/ to sherry@energyhealingpath.com.

Are Empath’s and Psychic’s the Same?

Monday, August 11th, 2008

To be an empath versus psychic (aka spiritually aware, awakened, etc.) at times seem like they should be both classified as psychic. And no wonder if you take a look at Meridian-websters definition of Psychic which is:

  • -lying outside the sphere of physical science or knowledge : immaterial, moral, or spiritual in origin or force
  • -sensitive to nonphysical or supernatural forces and influences : marked by extraordinary or mysterious sensitivity, perception, or understanding

And emapthy is defined as such in their online dictionary:

  • the imaginative projection of a subjective state into an object so that the object appears to be infused with it
  • the action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another of either the past or present without having the feelings, thoughts, and experience fully communicated in an objectively explicit manner ; also : the capacity for this

So with the definition of psychic it is clear that it is pertaining to having knowledge where you can’t explain how you have it scientifically whereas with empathy it can be scientifically explained. See the following articles regarding mirror neurons in the brain:

Empaths feel and transmute negative energy. When an empath talks of other things like knowing who it is they are feeling and having insight into peoples thoughts…that deeper insight that goes beyond just feeling, they are actually utilizing psychic abilities in conjunction with their empathy. And just because there is a chakra that is responsible for emapthy and there is also chakras responsible for the functioning of psychic abilities, that makes no difference. There is a chakra that controls fear as well but that doesn’t make fear a psychic ability.

Empathy is also genetic and it looks like scientist are getting closer to proving that. See the following article:

Empathy Partly Based On Genes, Mouse Study Shows - http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/02/090211082354.htm

Also with psychic ability information it is actually coming from some where/someone. For example, information from spirits, akashic records, etc.

Everyone is born with psychic abilities. Not everyone’s abilities stay awakened and opened however. But everyone has the abilities and can awaken their abilities. I guess you will not know what abilities are your strengths until you awaken.

So I would say that as an empath you’ve got maybe what might feel to you as a shorter way to go to get to calling yourself PSYCHIC.

I would say that no empathy and psychic ability are not the same. You can become psychic through development however you can’t become an empath through development and practice. If you are not emapthic but want to be then you would want to develop clairsentience.
